Today, I had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful lunch at The Salt Pig, a charming eatery nestled in the picturesque seaside town of Swanage. Known for its focus on fresh, local produce from the Purbeck region, The Salt Pig offers an authentic taste of Dorset, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

The first thing that struck me was the ambiance—warm, rustic, and inviting, with a hint of seaside charm. As I stepped inside, I immediately felt at ease. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable, eagerly sharing insights about the local ingredients. The summer menu board caught my eye with its vibrant selection, filled with fresh, seasonal offerings.

I chose the Beetroot, Orange, and Balsamic Onions Salad, a dish that perfectly showcased freshness and flavour. The earthy sweetness of the beetroot paired beautifully with the zesty orange segments, while the balsamic onions added a tangy depth.
