Rooftop Dining with Coastal Views
On a dry, bright afternoon on 15th October 2025, my friend Rachel and I decided to visit Gin & Juice Mumbles Swansea. We stopped by before heading to the Grand Theatre to see our favourite comedian, Stewart Lee. Thankfully, it turned out to be an excellent choice.
Location & Atmosphere
Gin & Juice Mumbles Swansea is located on a rooftop at Oyster Wharf, overlooking the Mumbles seafront. From our table, we enjoyed lovely coastal views stretching across the bay. Meanwhile, the sight of the sea instantly created a calm and relaxed atmosphere.

Even better, Gin & Juice Mumbles Swansea is a walk-in-only venue. Therefore, we didn’t need to worry about booking in advance. This made it ideal for a spontaneous pre-theatre visit.
Inside, the venue felt warm and cosy. At the same time, the large windows allowed plenty of natural light. As a result, the space felt welcoming and comfortable rather than crowded.
Drinks & Service
As expected, Gin & Juice Mumbles Swansea offers an impressive selection of gins from around the world. Consequently, there truly is something for everyone. The staff were friendly, approachable, and happy to offer recommendations.
To begin, I chose the Summer Breeze. It was made with Penrhos Apple & Elderflower Gin, cucumber, mint, lime, sugar, and soda water. Overall, it was refreshing, light, and perfectly balanced.

Starters
To accompany our drinks, we shared the House Baked Bread. It was served warm with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Although simple, it was fresh and full of flavour. Additionally, it was ideal for sharing.

Main Courses
For my main course, I ordered the Provençal Fillet. It featured grilled seabass with Cobi’s tomato sauce, whole green olives, crispy potatoes, and lemon. The fish was cooked beautifully. Moreover, the flavours worked perfectly together.

Meanwhile, Rachel went for the Steak Frites. This included a 28-day aged 6oz sirloin steak, fries, vine tomatoes, and peppercorn sauce. The steak was tender and well cooked. Therefore, it was a very satisfying choice.

Overall Experience
Overall, Gin & Juice Mumbles Swansea delivered a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The food was excellent, the drinks were well crafted, and the setting was hard to beat. Most importantly, the service made us feel welcome and relaxed.
I would happily recommend Gin & Juice Mumbles Swansea. Furthermore, I would definitely revisit, whether for drinks, dinner, or another pre-theatre treat.
